Journal Prompt: Greatest Wish for 2020

As we go into the not only a new year, but a new era, I decided to look through an era’s worth of my #reverb journals and it prompted me to write this post.

I will talk more about my #reverb journals in an upcoming post, but a brief history, Reverb was a prject that a blogger named Gwen Bell came up with in 2010. It consists of 31 questions, one asked for every day in December, to recap the year you are about to leave behind.

Every year since 2010 when blogger a Gwen Bell started (and named) #reverb I have been doing it mixed in with an Ali Edwards style (having a decorative page for each day) December Daily. In 2011 she encouraged us to come up with our own prompts for each day, so starting then all questions have been the same.

The one exception to all of this is 2014. It was a tough year for me and I did not, much to my regret, compete the #reverb project that year. But it did teach me how important this project is to me, by looking back and feeling a loss at not having a year.

So I have 2011 – 2013 and 2015 – 2019 (I have not shown my full 2019 journal yet, so this is a sneak peek!) all asking the following journal prompt, that I ask myself every year on New Years Eve:

December 31– What is your greatest wish for the year ahead?
Anything you are hoping for? Wish to focus on? Put it down on paper to help visualize and cultivate it!

As you can see in the photos above, I have been working on personal growth for years, and looking at these from years past helps me see how far I have come, and to be grateful for a life being lived authentically. This is why I am always encouraging people to journal, it is a great way to see yourself evolve and grow over the years!

What is your greatest wish for 2020?
