MMXX Supporting Words

/As a follow up to my recent post about my word/heart resolution for the year, I decided to write out how I have come to work with my word over the year. I have done this for over 10 years , but I was originally inspired by Ali Edward’s One Little Word, and now love to follow along with Susanna Conway’s Find Your Word series. Every year I fine tune my personal process a little more.

When coming up with my word, or as I like to say, Heart Resolution for a new year, I always look for 4 supporting words.

I ask myself the following questions from this Journal Prompt Post, and alongside the responses I come up with to the questions, I also jot down quotes and notes that have spoken to me throughout the past year to help guide me.

This year I came up with the following to surround my heart resolution Courage for 2020:
Love, Authenticity, Trust, and Creativity

I also love the intentions behind crystals. If I know one has a certain meaning, and I carry it with me, I am reminded of the words and meaning that it represents. Last year I choose one crystal (a heart shaped pink opal) that I tucked into a small extra pocket in my purse that I would take out and hold when I needed the reminder, or needed comfort. This year I decided to go a step further and choose one for my supporting words as well. Below are the stones I choose for each word:

Bloodstone – Courage
A Stone Of courage and bravery, that encourages you to find within yourself a deep sense of spiritual tenacity.

Love – Pink Tourmaline
Brings love  joy, and happiness into your life

Authenticity – Amazonite
Helps you to understand yourself, embrace your inner truth and express it

Trust – Lepidolite
Encourages independence and self love and trust.

Creativity – Amethyst
Enhances one’s creativity and passion. It strengthens the imagination and intuition, and refines the thinking processes.

Do you have any supporting words? If so, I’d love to hear how do you go about discovering them?
